The Role

As a Partner Program Manager, you will be building out the framework and ecosystem to operationalize Deputy’s ability to scale and deliver on the successful implementation and growth of strategic partners as a critical distribution channel. In addition, you will be responsible for working with these critical partners day to day to ensure ongoing health.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership across numerous cross-functional partners that participate in making these partnerships a success, including Partnerships, Product, DEP, Professional Services, and Support.

As this function is new to Deputy, you will be leading the development and execution of end-to-end integration and onboarding plans for delivering these large-scale partnerships  

Overall, you will be a trusted advisor to the customer, building confidence and a relationship with the Deputy platform. The role leads and manages the planning, delivery, implementation and evaluation of our most strategic programs and projects to achieve agreed outcomes and support the customer to achieve organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for our most strategic customers, this includes projects plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting all project related activities to ensure all project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with customer goals
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders (both internal and external) and ensure project deliverables are met
  • Grow and maintain the customer and wider stakeholder relationships through the delivery of the project, by owning and supporting the customer health
  • Create delivery models to support large scale implementations that are repeatable and a standard for incoming pipe of projects
  • Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, address project progress and effectiveness and achieve project outcomes
  • Manage a matrixed project team, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes
  • Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support decision making that maybe required at key points of the project
  • Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project and priorities
  • Lead a team of project, agile and delivery professionals internal and externally, guiding them with their work goals, coaching and mentoring them to continue to develop their capability
  • Role model, promote and actively demonstrate Deputy’s values and behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers and our people.

Key Challenges:

  • Managing consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations and viewpoints
  • Achieving project deadlines and milestones to the required standards within budget, given the need to manage potential customers evolving changing needs
  • Operating with autonomy in respect to balancing competing and complex customer priorities within the agreed work plan and being fully accountable to the quality, accuracy and integrity of the program or project.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills and experience with the full project life cycle to deliver successful programs to meet customer requirements
  • Experience in designing and presenting qualitative and quantitative concise project data including risk and issue management to deliver organizational change programs
  • Proficiency in managing and developing stakeholder and team relationships to capture and engage skills, knowledge and capabilities to enhance project outcomes
  • Essential: Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and or extensive equivalent professional services experience
  • Essential: 5-10 years experience in Program or Project Management
  • Essential: PMP/Prince 2 accreditation

The pay range for this position takes into account multiple factors that are all considered to determine an individual candidate’s starting pay. These factors include but are not limited to: market factors, experience, technical and non-technical skills, education, certifications, and other business acumen. This range does not include any potential incentive programs, such as individual or organizational performance bonuses. 

For candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, the pay range for this position is $122,000 - $160,000.

For candidates based outside San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, the pay range for this position is $116,000 - $151,000.
