Job Description:
We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to work on our website and mobile apps and new product launches. You will play a pivotal role in designing new engaging experiences and features to empower readers and creators. Your designs will meaningfully drive engagement, creation, readership and monetization on our platforms. You will manage end-to-end design projects, align stakeholders on objectives, and contribute directly to the team’s success.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a start-up environment and has a strong lead background in both web and mobile app design. Your work will have a direct impact and influence on our growing community, making it easier for creators to produce and fans to discover, engage with, and support their favorite creators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Iterative Design: Embrace a test-and-learn mindset. Actively gather and incorporate user feedback, analytics, and business needs into iterative product designs.
- Customer Centric: Passionate about our users and creators with a skillful ability to find creative and efficient ways to obtain feedback and incorporate them into designs.
- End-to-end ownership: Design exceptional products from start to finish, participating in all design phases, from formulation to development and optimization.
- Collaborative Design and Problem Solving: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify design opportunities, prioritize projects, and align on goals.
- Compelling Communication: Actively participate in ideation process for new product features and share design decisions effectively
- Design Craftsmanship: Uplift and iterate on VoyceMe’s design system and style guidelines to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints. Work with the Head of Marketing to develop Brand Guidelines.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated with animanga industry trends, tools, and best practices to contribute to ideation and bring innovative design concepts that challenges the status quo.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Relevant experience as a lead owning product design for both web and mobile applications, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Tools: Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Demonstrated keenness for identifying user needs, defining clear solutions, and delivering those through detailed design.
- Flexibility: The flexibility to design in low and high fidelity and choose the most efficient and responsible process for what is needed at a startup
- Portfolio: Proven success launching consumer entertainment products, particularly in start-up fast-paced environments
- Data-Informed: Skilled at integrating research and data insights into design, particularly in experimental contexts
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and visual storytelling skills to effectively communicate design rationale and concepts.
