About the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced and driven Product Manager to take ownership of executive reporting and data platform requirements within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing product strategies, overseeing the creation of executive reports, developing and managing requirements for a core data layer, and establishing governance across all product lines. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, engineers, and senior management to deliver insights that drive decision-making and support the strategic objectives of the company.

You’ll be a senior member of our Business Strategy and Analytics team, working closely with our data platform engineering partners. This is a highly visible and impactful role, driving the strategy for the core data layer that will drive insights across all our product teams.

You Have/You Will: 

Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the vision and strategy for data collection, management, and executive reporting, aligning with the company’s overall strategic objectives. 

Product Management: Own requirement gathering, prioritization, and roadmap for data deliverables across the organization. Identify critical use cases and solutions for data collection, management, and reporting, ensuring they meet the needs of senior leadership for strategic insights and decision support.

Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards across the organization to ensure accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and security of data used in executive reports.

Cross-functional Collaboration:Translate requirements between data scientists, analysts, engineers, designers, marketers, and other PMsto implement data governance practices and to produce accurate, timely, and insightful reports.

Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior executives to understand their reporting and analysis needs and challenges, and tailor reporting solutions or other products to meet these requirements.

Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek out opportunities to improve reporting processes and data governance practices, guidelines and procedures, incorporating new technologies and methodologies where applicable. Promote and develop data best practices, guidelines, procedures and repeatable, agile and scalable frameworks.

Team Leadership: Drive high standards in metric development and management across analytics and data engineering teams , fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Champion quality data, and drive operating models across product, analytics, and engineering that produce timely, accurate, trustworthy, and actionable data.

At Scribd, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States. In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $156,500 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $253,000 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California]. 

In the United States, outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $129,000 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $240,250 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].

In Canada, the reasonably expected salary range is between $161,000 CAD[minimum salary in our lowest geographic market] to $238,250 CAD[maximum salary in our highest geographic market]. 

We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a competitive equity ownership, and a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
