Lead Project Manager
What You'll Do
As the Lead Project Manager, you will work closely with the project management team and key stakeholders to support and guide the project management aspects of the design, development, and production of innovative online courses. You will work in a highly matrixed organization, focusing on project management within our integrated services teams. Your primary focus will be on improving and streamlining processes, managing and monitoring team resource allocation and capacity management, developing and streamlining team and project workflows, and coordinating with other Project Managers within the PMO on a myriad of projects.
The successful candidate will work remotely on a contract basis, with at least 30 hours per week of dedicated availability during normal business hours.
This is a part-time, hourly, 1099 contract position.
You will:
- Collaborate with the project management team in support of all project management activities across the organization
- Work with project sponsors and project team members to lead project delivery
- Actively work in project management software and other connected technologies to manage the project work and workflow, such as Asana and Smartsheet
- Collaborate extensively with all iDesign teams and team members to ensure the quality and consistency of our project management processes
- Look for opportunities to innovate and create efficiencies in project management processes and workflows
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Advanced degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Business, or related field
- A PMP certification
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across complex organizational structures
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences in a variety of mediums
- Honed leadership skills to motivate and manage a team of experts to deliver upon stated goals
- Demonstrated expert-level use of project management tools (ideally Asana and/or Smartsheet) and other technology tools for team productivity
- Experience working with Instructional Design projects, preferably in higher education
- Proven leadership in project management, characterized by innovation in the use of project methods
- Demonstrated flexibility in the use of a variety of project management methods and approaches to match project needs
- Demonstrated experience with data dashboards and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate to solve complex problems
- Experience working in higher education, preferably with previous curriculum development/instructional design projects
