What we’re looking for
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who can integrate the systems, play with data and create value systems from data with cloud based data platforms like Snowflake, AWS, Azure. Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for the integration, data warehousing, data pipeline development, data modelling, design and architecture.
Responsibilities
Business
• Establishing and maintaining the client relationship, stakeholder management and value addition to customers
• Understand customer requirement, nature of business and create innovative solutions for key business challenges
• Managing senior client expectations, increasing client satisfaction and engagement.
• Drive and lead POCs, demos, and present to customers as part of day to day job
Technical Delivery
• Design, develop and architect the solutions around Cloud Data platforms like Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Develop ETL pipelines in and out of data warehouse using combination of Python and Snowflakes Snow SQL
• Write SQL queries against Snowflake
• Developing scripts Unix, Python etc. to do Extract, Load and Transform data
• Provide production support for Data Warehouse issues such data load problems, transformation translation problems
• Translate requirements for BI and Reporting to Database design and reporting design
• Understanding data transformation and translation requirements and which tools to leverage to get the job done
• Understanding data pipelines and modern ways of automating data pipeline using cloud based Testing
• Document the architecture, it’s implementation and any changes so that others can easily understand the requirements, implementation and understand output
Experience
• Overall 8+ years experience in data realm
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Python, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Cache
• Ability to perform scripting with any tool
• Basic understanding of AWS or Google Cloud concepts (Data engineering)
• In-depth SQL knowledge, should have some experience with any NoSQL database
• Sound understanding of data warehousing and data modelling
• Great at architecture concepts and creating diagrams, flow, etc
• Strong interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills
• Experience with Azure data environment is big plus (Not mandatory)
