Lead Technical Product Manager

As the Lead Technical Product Manager for our Payments Platform, you will lead a talented team of engineers responsible for the development, maintenance, and scaling of our payment processing systems. You will play a crucial role in managing the team’s engineering efforts and acting as the product manager to oversee the health and strategic roadmap of the payments platform.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and mentor a small team of engineers working on both TypeScript and Node.js based microservices and a PHP monolith.
  • Manage the entire payment platform, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, customer service, and product to align payment platform development with company objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap for the payment platform, identifying opportunities for new features and improvements.
  • Engage with executives and other stakeholders to set priorities and report on the progress and health of the payment platform.
  • Implement best practices in software engineering, security, and compliance to maintain a high standard in handling sensitive payment data.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in payment processing technologies.

Why we're excited about you:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on payment systems.
  • Successful track record in product management and leading technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing, payment gateways, and various payment methods ( Our platform supports various payment methods including Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay) experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and PHP.
  • Strong stakeholder management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data informed decisions. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
