What Challenge Awaits You?
The Documentation Team is responsible for organizing and maintaining knowledge about our product. This includes documenting various product features and putting together business use cases, enabling our clients to use our platform solutions independently. Used as a centralized source of truth by our clients, partners, prospects, and consultants, our documentation is essential for supporting our scalability and efficiency.
With around 8,000 pageviews/day, it gets more pageviews than our main website bloomreach.com. Just the Engagement portion of the docs gets around 4,000 pageviews/day.
Led by Jan Gercak (Knowledge Manager) and Christian Baerend (VP of Product Insight and Design), you will drive a key strategic initiative in a complex multinational environment across different departments (Product, Client Services, and Sales). We are paving Bloomreach's way to IPO and you can help us shape this ambitious vision.
As a Lead Technical Writer, Your Job Will Be To
- Manage knowledge: Create and centralize knowledge - including features, business cases but also technical API documentation.
- Lead a team: Mentor and empower the Engagement Docs team to support overarching Engagement product and company goals.
- Drive communication excellence: Maintain and continuously improve the highest communication standards.
- Collaborate with experts: Cooperate with Product, Sales, Clients Services, and Support to improve documentation based on the departments’ feedback.
- Enable our users: Enable our clients, partners, and internal employees to execute more tasks independently in our products.

You Have The Following Experience And Qualities
- Drive and ambition: You love to tackle new challenges, the bigger the challenge the bigger the motivation to make it happen and learn something new.
- Excellent written command of English: Your English is on a native level and you can clearly communicate the most complex ideas.
- Clear communication and team player spirit: The ability to communicate concisely and convincingly in a way that demonstrates clarity of underlying thought. Prior experience with cross-functional work in a highly collaborative environment is a plus.
- Management/Leading experience is a plus. You have experience leading a team, setting team goals, training, and empowering team members to deliver on their objectives.
- Documentation and/or copywriting experience is a plus. You have written feature documentation, user guides, and release notes. You are familiar with documentation tools and processes.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, Jinja, and Javascript is a plus. You may not need to do any coding yourself, nor is it an application requirement, but familiarity and understanding of website mechanics will come in handy.
