AnswerRocket is on a mission to make data analysis easy. Our platform, powered by LLMs and AI, revolutionizes how businesses make data-driven decisions. We're seeking a Software Development Team Lead who's both a passionate developer and a leader, adept at tackling complex challenges and fostering engineering excellence in others.

In this role, you will be the technical leader of a small team of 3 to 4 engineers, guiding the development of a key subsystem in AnswerRocket's core product. This is a highly skilled role without specific management responsibility but a high level of ownership over the architecture and design patterns of our TypeScript application client.

This role is a remote opportunity, candidates do not have to be located in the Atlanta area.

Requirements

Who you are:

  • Excellence - Must have a complete understanding of available technical solutions and contribute to team productivity as an individual contributor.
  • Strategist – must determine impediments and provide solutions for self and team members to solve and complete complex arcs of functionality.
  • Goal setter – determines goals and objectives at the beginning of each sprint as appropriate for the team.
  • Proactively explore and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools, while strategically aligning development projects with business goals.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of professional experience using Typescript and React
  • Familiarity with Java, Kotlin, Python, GraphQL, or MongoDB is a big bonus, but it’s cool if you’re still learning
  • Ability to work both independently, and as part of a globally distributed team of technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Experience working with testing frameworks, Jenkins and Git
