Legal Compliance Senior Analyst – Core Medical Filing Team - Rate Filing Senior Analyst
Responsible for the day-to-day management of Large Group Core Medical certificate, rate filings, policy language filings and subsequent language implementation activities. Responsible for managing IFP filing activity. Forges and maintains positive working relationships with Legal and Regulatory partners as well as Product, Pricing, Finance, Service Operations and Solutions Management teams.
The successful candidate is a team player who is willing to collaborate within and across teams, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, familiarity with medical benefit plans, proven time management and problem solving abilities, as well as a positive attitude.
Description
Primary initial focus will be on the coordination and management of required rate filings with state regulators with an opportunity to develop, learn, and cross-train on language and form filing procedures and responsibilities.
Manage multiple form, rate and binder filings in the SERFF system simultaneously
Develop, write and revise policy and certificate language
Respond to insurance department objections and manage objections in accordance with established policies and procedures
Negotiate directly with state regulators (involving Compliance, Government Affairs and supporting attorneys as appropriate)
Self-monitor due dates in order to meet internal and external regulatory deadlines
Work collaboratively with Service Operations’ Language Release Team to initiate the process of moving filed and approved language into production
Conduct regulatory research, review emerging legislation for applicability to impacted products and respond to questions relating to products, research and emerging legislation.
Present research findings and responses clearly and concisely as applicable based on audience
Represent Core Medical Filing on enterprise projects, as necessary
Conduct day-to-day activities in accordance with compliance policies, procedures and standards of conduct
Qualifications
Bachelor degree or equivalent training and mastery
Minimum 5 years compliance/regulatory experience with Group and Individual Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision and Stop Loss products; Facets experience .
Experience in the development of new Group and Individual product designs from conception
Ability to adapt and thrive in a flexible, fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive, solution oriented approach
Excellent customer service skills
Project Management experience
Strong analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 68,500 - 114,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
