We are looking for an experienced** Lifestyle Writer to join our prestigious Magazines **hub. This is a fantastic opportunity to source and write engaging lifestyle content for all of Reach’s print and digital magazine titles including OK!, New, S magazine and Notebook every week and daily on Ok.co.uk.

We’re looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content.

This role is home based and we are therefore open to candidates based across the UK.

Job Description

What will the role involve? You will conceptualise and write entertaining lifestyle stories and features for multiple print and digital readerships, including but not limited to cutting edge health topics, agenda setting real-life, and trend-driven interiors. You will help to grow the audience of Ok.co.uk through your features, celebrity interviews, expert opinion pieces and more.

You will react to breaking lifestyle news and always be first to scoop the story. You will utilise social media to stay up to date with all the latest lifestyle trends and push your content. You will write in different styles and tones to fit the voice of each magazine brand and platform. This position will involve working in varying shift patterns including weekends and evenings, so a flexible approach is required.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for? You are an NCTJ qualified journalist or equivalent, with a passion for all things lifestyle. You have a proven track record of writing entertaining lifestyle, showbiz or featured content within a fast paced magazine or newsroom environment. You have exceptional writing skills and the ability to produce content across both print and online platforms, matching each brand’s voice perfectly.

You have an enviable contact book of PRs and agents and more that you can use to develop exciting lifestyle stories. You understand how to utilise social media to drive traffic and have excellent legal media knowledge. You have experience publishing stories at pace and meeting deadlines with ease. You are an expert in the industry and always keep your finger on the pulse of the latest news, features and trends in lifestyle.
