The Role
The cross-functional role will manage and understand key business unit financial metrics, Opex / Capex/ Netex performance indicators, and forecasts for the Service Delivery team. The role will require experience presenting to Executive level management on team financial performance, fiscal fidelity, unit cost results and forecast plans. The position will also work with the Service Delivery SVP to set financial goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. This is a specialized role requiring a background in financial forecasting and trend analysis and an understanding of metrics and analytics. This role will help the SVP identify the areas where they must direct their focus and help streamline financial activities.
The Main Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute tactical & strategic financial business plans and activities across all Planning and Strategy towers.
- Work closely with the Service Delivery leadership team to identify and drive key department initiatives.
- Align projects to budget and timelines, and work with stakeholders to drive project accountability across the organization.
- Communication, Financial understanding, and organization will be key to the success of this role.
- Possess an understanding of how Operations manages OpEx , NetEx, and CapEx funding and budgets
- Perform operational financial analysis on expense drivers such as employee related compensation, overtime, and third-party vendor management to ensure optimal investment and formulate mitigation plans when necessary.
- Forecast the operating expense, capital investment and ROI needed for the initiatives and obtain approvals from impacted stakeholders
- Work with North American Operations leaders to build business cases for key initiatives to identify value and expected outcomes.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with leaders across the Lumen organization regarding project activities including department strategy, and new/ongoing initiatives
- Provides ad hoc analysis to support non-routine communication / budgetary requirements.

- Proven track record of success in a financial operational role where executive priorities are translated into actionable plans that can be tracked.
- Executive presence and excellent communication skills
- Ability to navigate complex financial stakeholder management situations
- Attention to detail across a broad range of contexts and topics
- Advanced PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
- Experience with Business Operations, Financial Planning, and Business Transformation
- The ideal candidate will have 7+ years experience in a similar role
