We are seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to lead our team of talented engineers in scaling the platform, supporting our development teams, and streamlining our deployment processes. Pursuing operational excellence, you will be responsible for managing infrastructure costs, platform health and managing the team’s workflow.  

What You Will Do

  • Coach, mentor, and grow a team of 6-8 DevOps engineers, setting clear goals and objectives to ensure individual and team success. 
  • Collaborate with software development teams to identify and resolve pain points in the software delivery pipeline. 
  • Drive the design and implementation of scalable solutions to handle our growing infrastructure demands. 
  • Optimize and oversee our continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes to ensure smooth and frequent releases. 
  • Manage the budget for infrastructure expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimizing resources. 
  • Establish comprehensive monitoring and alerting strategies across the platform to preemptively address and respond to incidents. 
  • Conduct system performance analyses and recommend improvements to ensure reliability and high availability. 
  • Lead the evaluation and integration of new tools and technologies to improve team efficiency and platform robustness. 
  • Implement best practices in areas such as security, data protection, and compliance. 
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and services. 
  • Work closely with the VP of Engineering to align the DevOps strategy with organizational goals. 
  • Provide regular reports on infrastructure health, cost analytics, and team productivity. 

Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or similar roles with at least 2 years of managerial experience. 
  • Strong technical background in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform). 
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g., Git). 
  • Demonstrated experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python, Shell). 
  • Proven ability to manage and optimize infrastructure costs. 
  • Experience in monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and incident management. 
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Our headquarters are in Woodbridge, NJ, but we are happy to consider remote candidates in the following states:  AZ, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, KS, MD, MA, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, RI, SC, TX, VA, and WA.
  • The pay range for this position is $145,000– $170,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, we offer full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Pay Band Transparency Act.
