In the Manager, Engineering role you will manage a full-stack team of 8 engineers that keep our product up and running. The focus of this team is key to Stavvy’s product as they manage the digital document signing process for our end-users. In this role you will report into one of the Senior Managers, Engineering. Outside of the technical skills listed below, we are looking for someone that can understand our business requirements, user experience desires, and technical challenges deeply enough to translate across the business to all parties involved to ensure a consistent understanding throughout the software development lifecycle. We need someone who wants to grow alongside the team and places emphasis on fostering the development of this amazing group of engineers.
What You'll Do
- Provide clarity and purpose to a full-stack team of Engineers
- Effectively resolve conflict and drive technical conversations to timely and collaboratively come to a conclusion
- Cultivate team culture and ensure ever-improved team morale
- Provide the support necessary to consistently unblock engineering effort through servant leadership
Who You Are
- 4+ years of experience in full-stack software development
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Understand the deep technical conversations necessary to bring product requirements to life
- Guide the careers of each engineer forward through consistent growth
- Experience with writing production ready Python and/or Java code
- Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
- Integrate user-facing elements into applications with the help of your team
- Work with your team to test and debug programs
- Improve functionality and stability of existing systems
- Collaborate with our product, design, customer service, and development teams in order to fully create and understand the requirements for what is necessary to be produced
- A player/coach and someone that is willing to mentor and grow our team
- Strong organization skills
- Experience with mortgage, notary, or loan space would be a plus
Compensation Education
- The Boston based range for this full time position is $180,000 - $220,000

- Stavvy is committed to competitive and equitable pay for all Stavviators. The listed pay range for this role is a good faith estimate of the hiring range for this position. Compensation offered will be determined based on several factors including an individual’s experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
