Bumble is looking for a Manager, Financial Accounting to own full cycle accounting for various US and foreign entities. The position will take responsibility for managing a team of accountants to ensure monthly close tasks and procedures are performed timely. Additional responsibilities include review of variance analysis and ensuring month-end close procedures are SOX compliant.
This position will work across the finance organization as well as other key constituents such as Marketing, FP&A, Legal and other business partners. This position will report to our Senior Manager, Financial Accounting.
What you'll do:
- Manage and oversee the month-end close process including review and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations and review the work of others
- Heavy focus on ensuring global marketing expenses are accurate and complete
- Interface with global teams, outside service providers, and vendors in support of company goals and objectives
- Proactively identify areas for potential improvements and collaborate with Senior Manager, Financial Accounting on planning and execution
- Ensure all SOX controls assigned to team are followed and documented properly
- Mentor and coach other team members
- Assist in the quarterly and annual financial statement and controls audits
- Liaise with international service providers to ensure deadlines for local filings are met
- Assist with special projects and other duties as needed
- Ensure local and statutory compliance
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- CPA (or equivalent) designation required
- 5-7 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience required; Big 4 and/ or public/ private mix preferred
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX
- Excellent project management skills and experience working with a fast-paced public company in a global environment
- Experience coaching a team and reviewing the work of others
- Experience working in NetSuite is a plus
- You are team oriented, ‘can do’ attitude and keen to learn
- You have a high level of accuracy/attention to detail
- You are a self starter who is comfortable working at pace and who takes a proactive approach.

$97,200 - $125,000 a year
Base Compensation Range: $97,200.00 - $125,00.00. For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. This position is also typically eligible to participate in our short- and long-term incentive programs. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, Unlimited Paid Time Off Policy.
