SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Manager of Project Management is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of Finalsite’s software and services implementations. Your expertise in project management, client relationship management, and deep knowledge of the EdTech industry will be instrumental in ensuring successful software and consulting services implementations for our valued clients. You will guide your team and utilize your knowledge in project management to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with specifications, on time, and within budget.

You will collaborate with the Director of Project Management and other stakeholders to establish project management standards, processes, and best practices within the organization. You will provide strategic guidance and support to your team, helping them prioritize and allocate resources effectively to achieve project objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage a team of project managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Project Management to establish project management standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Oversee the portfolio of projects, ensuring they are delivered in accordance with specifications, on time, and within budget.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and provide regular reports to the Director of Project Management and stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and issues that may impact project delivery and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Finalsite’s product team to identify potential gaps or enhancements to facilitate an efficient software implementation process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client escalations.
  • Drive process improvements and project management efficiencies within the Professional Services organization.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • 5+ years of related experience in project management, leading project teams, or relevant experience
  • Certification(s) in project management is a plus
  • Experience managing projects with differing levels of complexity, budgets, time constraints, internal and external staffing solutions, and within multiple software systems from initiation through completion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively and collaboratively leverage team resources in a matrixed environment for maximum departmental resource utilization and project efficiency
