Job Description Summary: Our team works cross-functionally to make sure PayPal is maximizing its relationships with our top merchants and channel partners. We provide sound financial analysis/opportunity sizing and serve as thought partners for Sales, Legal, Product, and Marketing to make sure PayPal is driving winning outcomes with our largest customers.

What you need to know about the role:

This role will work with sales, product, finance, and other teams to help commercialize our suite of solutions across the biggest strategic customers/partners. The manager will work alongside a set of high-caliber individuals and support team leadership to help drive growth with the biggest tech platforms, merchants/retailers, consumer ecosystems, and channel partners. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of payments / fintech, ability to negotiate, and the ability to navigate complex commercial models (pricing, demand elasticity, monetization, P/L construction, etc). We’re looking for a strong individual contributor who can take on complex problem statements, collaborate across the company to build the right commercial frameworks & solutions, and communicate effectively with senior leadership.

Your way to impact:

  • Influence sales leadership and other cross-functional teams in thinking through complex business models of extending our value prop with top global accounts/partners.
  • Build financial & analytical nuances across the dimensions of customer segments, products, and markets to find the right balance of trade.

Your day to day:

  • Support leadership in constructing compelling arguments and negotiating tactics that will create winning commercial outcomes (revenue & margin profile)
  • Be fully immersed in supporting the iterations of deal negotiation as a trusted partner to the sales team – sales pitches, term sheets and contracts, leadership presentations, etc.
  • Participate in deal review/approval process and adhere to agreed SLA with sales team. .
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within sales, product, finance, and other functional teams. Engage in the cadence/process of interactions, be a team player, and a positive influence on others.

What you need to bring:

  • 6 - 10 years of relevant finance, strategic sales / BD, strategic pricing, strategy, corp dev, banking, consulting, investor relations, equity research experience.
  • An understanding of payments product & technology is preferred and will go a long way in the success of this role.
  • Ability to grasp the nuances of the next generation of product / commercial solutions
  • Strong experience in navigating through complex pricing/monetization and financial models and the ability to build negotiating tactics / insights.
  • Support leadership in synthesizing highly complicated / nuanced ideas and communicating them in ways others can easily understand (both oral and written)
  • Versatility in navigating a complex & matrixed corporate environment while juggling multiple responsibilities. A collaborative mindset is essential.
  • Highly dependable, with ability to drive things to conclusion in a dynamic and fast-paced organization.
  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
  • Exhibit the highest standards of integrity and be pleasant & fun to work with.

Education:

  • MBA, Master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $64000 to $156750
