Market Risk Sr Associate
Full Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Investment Risk Analysis & Strategy, The Market Risk Associate will assist in building models on fundamental risk drivers of the primary asset classes to drive investment views and understand fundamental sources of risk and also assist in production of risk reports for the General Account and Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with enterprise-wide investment risk reporting to meet Federal regulations; Broader Portfolio reports; Asset class level reports.
- Assist with risk report reviews and data reconciliation.
- Assist with monitoring and surveillance of investment risk limits.
- Assist in developing for each asset class a view on fundamental risk drivers within an asset class.
- Work across the various functions in Investment Risk Management to ensure that risk calculations and sensitivity analysis are based on reasonable, fundamental oriented intuition.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in finance, risk and investment management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Economics, or Math. CFA or MBA desired
- 4 years of experience in finance, risk and investment management field with an understanding of asset classes covered.
- Proficiency with VBA, SQL and Excel is highly desired.
- R, or other statistical packages is a plus
- Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to summarize and communicate complex information effectively in a non-technical manner for senior management.
Base Pay Range: $87,800/yr. - $146,300/yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
