Marketing Manager, APAC

Reporting to Vice President Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Manager, APAC is responsible for establishing and implementing strategic and tactical marketing plans designed to capitalize on account-based opportunities and drive growth in the APAC region. Our Marketing Manager will contribute to a creative, integrated, multi-channel marketing department that leverages digital and traditional marketing to drive sales into specific, named accounts. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and have impeccable communication skills.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in digital and inbound marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experienced in events management
  • Experienced with marketing automation and website content management systems (Hubspot experience a major plus)
  • Creative design skills, with Adobe and/or Canva
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, multi-tasking and project management skills
  • A content machine!
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that is passionate about growing the business within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel approximately 2-3 conferences or client roadtrips per year
  • Ability to meet with international teams on occasion outside of standard business hours

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Marketing team, the Marketing Manager will take responsibility for developing and executing an annual marketing plan for the APAC market including goals, strategies, industry conferences, content, campaigns, budget and other activities as necessary.
  • Establish and build an inbound marketing strategy and develop content using internal and external resources to increase the pipeline and sales funnel and ultimately drive sales growth.
  • Manage the in-region events calendar, including webinars, training programs, user groups, industry conferences, regional on-site events, and executive roadshows.
  • Align with the APAC Sales and Client Success teams to develop and execute specific account-based marketing plans for upselling to targeted accounts and retention strategies.
  • Coordinate product marketing activities and work with Product, Sales and Client Success to develop messaging and the ‘go-to-market’ strategy for new product features.
  • Create content and lead campaigns to position Symplicity as a market leader in Higher Education.
  • Be accountable for measuring and reporting on campaign results to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications as well as the VP of International.
  • Understand and analyze digital marketing KPIs, develop scorecards and report on results to management team and other stakeholders. Continuously refine marketing tactics based on metric analysis.
  • Implement and direct the use of current marketing tools including marketing automation, HubSpot, Asana, web strategy.
  • Work autonomously, exercising excellent judgement and communicating across teams based all over the world.
  • Stays up-to-date on current trends for the purposes of storytelling.
