Marketing Project Manager

The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for the timely execution of campaigns and projects across various marketing channels and teams for all internal clients (Product Marketing, ABM (account based marketing), Sales, Events, Brand, etc.).

Job Responsibilities

  • Understands the scope of the work, the deliverables, and the "why" behind the requested projects; not just delivering on-time, but making sure things are done in the right way to ensure success
  • Manages projects from intake to final execution
  • Validates incoming marketing requests for strategic alignment and checks if inputs needed to kick off projects are complete
  • Routes proofs to internal and client reviewers, facilitates resolution of edits between teams
  • Schedules project kick-off calls, weekly status meetings and retrospectives as needed, including note taking and distribution of notes
  • Evaluates and monitors throughput to understand team capacity and potential; signals when capacity does not meet demand and proposes solutions to mitigate risk
  • Manages quarterly marketing planning to ensure priority projects are requested, planned for, and on track for successful completion
  • Supports load-balancing between internal team members, contractors, and vendors in partnership with marketing and communication leaders
  • Supports vendor management in partnership with marketing and communication leaders
  • Develops and maintains project files and documentation
  • Functions as WorkFront expert for Marketing teams; develops, optimizes, and maintains Marketing workflows and templates in WorkFront
  • Drives Marketing teams to strike the right balance between process and execution

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in creative or marketing project management
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Adobe WorkFront experience and/or certification preferred
  • Experience in education technology, publishing, or software marketing preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively against timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to think independently and create solutions
  • Experience managing cross-channel, integrated, digital marketing campaigns
  • Solid, team-centric leadership and management skills.
  • Takes initiative and functions both autonomously and as a member of a team, with a willingness to take on and help with routine
