We are seeking an exceptional software developer to join our skunkworks team within an established company. This role is for those who have truly mastered the craft of building scalable, web-based enterprise software and are ready to tackle a challenging, potentially career-defining project.

The Product Vision: Our client is developing an ambitious enterprise workflow product that aims to revolutionize how large organizations align and coordinate their people and software systems. As the product evolves, it will build up process knowledge with the ultimate goal of using AI to automate human tasks. This is not just another software project – it's an attempt to solve a difficult, high-impact problem that could reshape how large organizations operate.

Your Mission: Your primary mission will be to single-handedly complete the software development of this innovative product. You'll be working closely with the founder to bring their precise and specific product vision to life, adhering to exacting technical standards. This role requires not just coding skills, but also the ability to think abstractly, reason about complex systems, and translate high-level concepts into elegant, practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. 1Develop an end-to-end minimum viable version of the software, which will initially be used to improve our company's internal workflows
  2. Collaborate with the founder to design and implement a semi-lattice contextual data model. This model is crucial as it will provide AI workflow agents with the context needed to take over human tasks.
  3. Evolve the minimum viable product into a minimum lovable product, including the context model, and roll it out internally within our company.
  4. Work with our DevOps teams to implement robust production debugging tools, including tracing and error reporting. Use these tools to provide exceptional support and troubleshooting for our internal teams.
  5. Partner with the founder to architect and deliver a scalable, serverless automation system that can be customized for different customers. This system will be used to automate our internal workflows and integrate with other services.
  6. Customize the product for the Multifamily sector, creating an end-to-end minimum lovable version. Provide outstanding support and troubleshooting for our internal teams using the production tools you've implemented.
  7. Collaborate with our larger organizations product teams to develop a plugin system that extends the their platform's ability to run complex workflows and allows our product to use take advantage of their other plugins as integration points

Requirements

We're looking for someone who embodies the concept of an "A-player" – a candidate who has at least a 90% chance of achieving outcomes that only the top 10% of possible candidates could achieve. This means:

  • 5+ years of experience in Rails, Rails Hotwire, StimulusJS, Vanilla JS, Tailwind, SQL, Git.
  • Knowledge on Networking, Linux, and Containers.
  • You have a thorough understanding of software delivery best practices and the lower layers of the technology stack.
  • You are comfortable working with Java and can navigate challenging documentation.
  • You understand process mapping and can translate complex business operations into process maps.
  • You're efficient, producing significant output with minimal wasted effort.
  • You have unwavering integrity and always do what's right, not just what's expedient.
  • You're highly organized, able to plan effectively and focus on key priorities.
  • You learn quickly and can rapidly absorb and apply new information.
  • You have strong analytical skills and can draw insightful conclusions from complex data.
  • You're proactive, bringing new ideas to the table without being prompted.
  • You're flexible and can adapt quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
  • You remain calm under pressure and maintain stable performance even in stressful situations.

  • Currently residing in Latin America.
