UnspecifiedThere are two openings for Financial Planning & Analysis Managers within the Fire Protection portfolio of Avionics. One will primarily oversee the Wilson, NC location while the other will focus on the broader Fire Protection business. Both positions offer tremendous growth and development, working with a highly collaborative group of finance individuals.. The role includes financial reporting and analysis, month end close reporting to leadership, as well as, quarterly, annually, and 5-year forecasting and planning.

In addition, these positions require strong trouble shooting skills and self-motivation to drive outstanding items to closure. They also require excellent communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving, professional curiosity and a strong analytical mind.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Executes financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts to support short- and long-range business plans
  • Reviews, analyzes and interprets actuals to support leadership decision making
  • Perform month end close tasking and analysis of related financial results
  • Develops cash flow impacts due to AR collections, coordinate with FSS
  • Conducts small-scale projects, completing ad hoc analysis
  • Annual Operating Plan / Long Range Plan Support
  • Hyperion Reporting
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Process Improvements: ACA Findings, Pricing, Engineering, etc.
  • Ability to handle adhoc request

  • Margin Transformation Initiative Tracking
  • Business Partnering with Value Stream Leader
  • FPS Financial Review
  • Engineering Planning Support
  • Accounts Receivable Initiative
  • Hyperion Consolidation Lead

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • System Knowledge of Hyperion and SAP
  • Advanced experience with Excel: V-Lookups, Macros
  • Basic working knowledge of WORD and PowerPoint
