The MoodleCloud ecosystem runs about a third of the world’s registered Moodle sites, and is central to the growth strategy for the organisation over the coming years. The MoodleCloud product is nearing our seventh year of rapid adoption and is uniquely placed to grow in both diversity of offering and market reach, creating opportunities for you to learn and grow at every turn.

At Moodle no 2 days will ever be the same, but most days in this role usually involve a mix of:
- Working within a small agile team
- Providing level 3 support to our customer success team
- Digging into Moodle code, PostgreSQL databases and AWS cloud infrastructure to understand and resolve customer issues
- Collaborate with Moodle LMS team on MoodleCloud-related issues
- Collaborating closely with teammates to implement new features for MoodleCloud
- Writing PHP, SQL, JavaScript
- Working on a product that directly generates revenue for an amazing open source project
This role can be based anywhere in the Asia-Pacific region! In Australia as a permanent employee, or anywhere else in APAC as a contractor. Just let us know where you are when you apply.
Requirements
We'd love to meet you…
Especially if you can talk to us about your:
- Friendly, approachable and fun communication style that earns trust and credibility
- Enthusiasm for both team play and deep diving into solo work
- Pride in setting realistic targets that you can achieve under pressure
- Experience with high scale, clustered web application infrastructure
- Experience developing for Moodle
Technologies you'll work with regularly:
- PHP, SQL, JavaScript, Python
- Configuration Management (Chef, Puppet)
- Source Control (Git)
- Databases (RDS, PostgreSQL)
- CI (Gitlab, Docker)
