Motion Graphic Designer
Description
Sleeper is developing the leading platform for connecting friends through sports, and we are seeking a talented and innovative motion graphic designer to join our team. This designer will work with the marketing team and product/character designers to create marketing videos and advertisements that align with Sleeper's branding and business objectives.
This is a 3-month contract position that may transition to full-time for the right candidate.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Creating marketing assets such as static ads, motion graphic ads, and videos for various mediums (social media platforms, TV commercials, physical ad placements, etc.).
- Editing video footage with visual effects, graphic elements, or Sleeper UI.
- Creating tutorial videos with great storytelling to educate users on features and products.
- Staying up to date with the latest media trends and technology, and applying them to current projects.
Skills Required:
- 3+ years of experience in motion graphic design, video production, or a related field.
- Proficiency in motion graphics and video editing tools like After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or similar.
- Knowledge of graphic design and animation principles.
- Strong storytelling and animating skills.
- Experience with the social media ecosystem related to video editing and short-form storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Bonus:
- AD Agency experience
- Knowledge of sound mixing software is a plus
- 3D motion graphic experience.

For this role in those locations, a reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for new hires is $ 28 USD to $40 USD (Greater Seattle Area Base) per hour. No overtime work allowed, and the contract will be for 3 months or otherwise negotiated. Please note that the compensation range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
