Multi-Func Manufacturing Supervisor (Level 3)

As a multi-functional manufacturing supervisor, you will lead manufacturing activities and represented workforce to accomplish cost, schedule, and quality objectives for the JSF Production Assembly area.

This candidate will be expected to:

  • Assign daily tasks to mechanics and manage execution.
  • Assure the timeliness and accuracy of aircraft records.
  • Execute build plans for structural assembly and systems installations.
  • Identify and implement changes to improve quality, schedule and cost.
  • Reinforce a culture that values and embraces Foreign Object Damage prevention.
  • Ensure certification of employees who perform certification required tasks.
  • Provide a safe work environment and takes timely corrective action to correct unsafe conditions.
  • Assure employees and leadership comply with defined Core processes and defined processes that are program specific.
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement and development of technical competencies, talent, and performance.
  • Identify and lead incorporation of continuous improvement actions into manufacturing processes.
  • Identify gaps in skill sets.
  • Collaborate with Labor Relations and Human Resources to enhance employee engagement.

Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident.

The selected individual may be transferred to a different shift in order to support production needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with manufacturing &/or productions methodologies.
  • Experience using tools, machines, &/or systems typically used in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using business metrics to drive performance (cost, schedule, quality)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel)
  • Greenbelt Certified
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Systems including, PDM, MRP, SFM, and EWI.
  • Working Knowledge of Crew Plans
  • Forecasting manpower
  • Excellent communication skills
