Operations and Project Manager

As the Operations and Project Manager, you would be responsible for leading various initiatives related to internal operations to ensure we create the best employee experience possible. You would be responsible for all things operations spanning continuous improvement projects, recurrent operations, and inventory management. The ideal candidate is organized and obsessed with creating the best employee experience possible in an ever-changing and fast-growing tech startup.

In This Role, You Would

  • Recurrent Operations
  • Own the employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Inventory management (hardware, swag, etc.)
  • Production of reports
  • Monthly invoice and expense management
  • Work closely with the People and Operations teams and various other departments
  • Audit of licenses
  • Document management (maintaining an organized system for storing and managing digital documents, ensuring easy access for relevant parties)
  • Lead the Social Committee and spearhead various virtual events (trivia night, etc.)
  • Booking office space when required (we are fully remote, but are booking co-working spaces when team members want to spend time together)
  • Addressing requests to change the configuration of various software platforms being used across the company, and addressing employee issues when required
  • Managing vendor relationships (negotiating and maintaining relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of products and services)
  • Project Management
  • Lead various continuous improvement projects (example: revamp of our documentation management using Google Shared Drive and Notion)
  • Own budget, deliverables, and internal client conversations
  • Work closely with our Security team to ensure best practices are in place

  • You’re have great skills when it comes to project management and deliverables – being organized and having proper time-management is second nature to you
  • You bring with you a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and do what needs to be done, where the unknowns and ambiguity doesn’t stop you from driving forward.
  • You thrive working in a fast-paced environment
  • You are skilled in using Excel and other office tools
  • You are a fast learner
  • You are a natural leader and team player, with effective problem-solving skills
  • Be self-driven with a data-driven mindset
  • Experience in a similar role in a small fast-growing organization is an asset
  • Experience in retail or hospitality is an asset
  • Experience leading team members is an asset
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs: remaining flexible and adapting to evolving remote work requirements, including staying updated on remote work trends and technologies.
