About the Role

Veho uses a network of independent contractor drivers to complete last-mile package deliveries to customers. The Driver Marketplace team is responsible for a) growing the network of drivers in line with expected delivery volume, b) improving the driver experience on the platform to increase retention and engagement, c) helping achieve our high standards for on-time delivery and overall delivery quality and d) building, pricing and selling routes. We are a highly capable, diverse, values-driven team, and we’re looking for strong candidates to help achieve our ambitious goals.

As we continue to rapidly expand into additional markets, we are looking to add members to our Marketplace Operations team to support our Routing Optimization efforts. As a member of this team, you will play a key role in creating strategies and analyses to optimizes the routes that drivers can select as well as overseeing how we approach our coverage area. 

In this role, you will need to develop deep expertise and understanding of how Veho’s processes, systems, and resources work, and how to use them to drive positive outcomes. Candidates must be comfortable working with data and leading analysis independently. Our team is data and insights-driven, so you’ll need to be comfortable combining both qualitative and quantitative insights to make decisions. You must also be able to translate these insights into action and have the ability to manage the implementation and execution of complex projects across multiple stakeholder groups.

A great candidate:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience that includes project management, analytics, and/or problem-solving
  • Conducts analysis independently and translate this into clear, actionable insights
  • Leads execution of complex initiatives and processes using project management best practices
  • Can think critically about problems and priorities and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo
  • Has a strong desire to challenge themselves, learn, and grow
  • Is detailed-oriented and an excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable shifting priorities based on new insights and business needs
  • Is proficient in SQL

In this role, you will: 

  • Conduct experimentation to increase the rate of driver partner conversion from signup to account activation
  • Develop and report on metrics that measure the performance of the driver onboarding process and unit economics
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities to improve onboarding funnel efficacy and reduce costs
  • Manage and improve processes to ensure we can scale driver acquisition and its components as the business grows 
  • Work cross-functionally with various teams including General Managers, Product, and Data Science to ensure Driver Growth continues to meet the needs of the business

Route Building

What You’ll Do: 

  • Help answer the questions “How do we group packages into routes in the most efficient way possible and in a way that enables effective driver matching,” and “How can we optimize our footprint within a given market”? 
  • Create and execute a roadmap to make consistent improvements to core efficiency and/or value delivery metrics
  • Support the execution of ops experiments and rollout of new marketplace features and approaches in collaboration with Product, General Managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Improve processes to ensure the team is ready to improve and maintain our performance as the business grows 5x
  • Tailor marketplace operations and strategy based on nuances between cities in which we operate

What you bring: 

  • 2+ years of experience that includes project management, analytics, and/or problem-solving
  • Is excited about digging deep into the data, isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo, and can develop scrappy approaches to test and learn
  • Can translate complex analyses into actionable insights tied to business goals detailed-oriented and an excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable shifting priorities based on new insights and business needs
  • Can lead execution of complex initiatives and processes using project management best practices
  • Can effectively collaborate with other teams across the organization a self-starter and has a desire to learn and grow
  • Strong alignment with Veho’s values
  • 2+ years in consulting, investment banking, private equity, logistics, operations management, or a high-growth startup is preferred
  • Prior experience in a high-growth marketplace business is helpful but not required
  • Familiarity or proficiency with SQL required
