ABOUT THE TEAM

The centralized R&D Operations team is growing to ensure product development, design, engineering systems, and teams are working effectively across the department and with cross-functional partners.The team works to identify opportunities across the organization and create workflows that drive efficiency and collaboration in the delivery of a mature Product strategy. YOUR MISSION

As a R&D Operations Manager, you will work closely with leaders and cross-functional partners to identify process, tooling, and workflow improvements for the R&D organization that enable teams to work efficiently to deliver the Product and Technical strategy. You will inform, influence, and execute new strategies and tactics using sound analysis, including the monitoring of implementation, success, and efficacy metrics. With your excellent communication and change management skills, you will ensure all members of the organization, from leaders to individual contributors, understand what is expected, what the status of work is, and what to expect next.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Define and streamline recurrent tasks and processes. Define and implement process and/or improvements in the R&D organization. Proactively identify gaps or bottlenecks in our current processes and playbookes. Document them and ensure every stakeholder understands what they are and how they should be used. 
  • Optimize planning and communication. Streamline project status updates and release information, drive the process for planning as well as sharing insights. 
  • Improve the user experience by strengthening the Product feedback loop. Partnering with Support, Customer Success, and Sales ops to ensure that customer feedback, product gaps, bugs, and issues are captured and reviewed by product teams and added to the Product and Technical roadmaps as needed.
  • Optimize onboarding. Ensuring each department within R&D has an onboarding strategy, up-to-date documentation, manager enablement, and necessary training strengthens the overall R&D team as well as the customer experiences.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 5+ years of operations experience in fast-paced SaaS start-up environments, or equivalent work experience. 
  • A curiosity and passion for problem solving, both conceptually and analytically, towards optimizing strategy.
  • Creation and refinement of processes to get to the right outcomes faster and enable quick course correction when needed.
  • Experience selecting, implementing, and activating tools across an organization; including BI, analytics, and software development tracking tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills while handling and prioritizing multiple complex projects concurrently.
  • Experience in driving and strong understanding of how high-functioning Product, Design, and Engineering teams operate to deliver value to the company and customer-base.
  • Jira admin experience is a plus.

For roles based in New York City, California, Colorado, and Washington, the base salary for this role ranges from $104,600 - $130,800 + equity + benefits. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation.
