As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for supporting our Legal team in research projects, contract management, and regulatory compliance. You’ll get to use your attention to detail, organizational skills, and legal expertise to contribute to this critical area of our company's future.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Contract Management:
- Assist in drafting and reviewing various contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, and partnership agreements.
- Maintain and update the contract management system (Lexion), ensuring all contracts are accurately recorded and stored.
- Track contract lifecycles, ensuring timely renewals, terminations, and amendments.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure contract compliance and resolve any related issues.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Support the Legal team in ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards, including preparation and submission of documents to regulators.
- Conduct research on regulatory requirements and assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact Branch’s operations and report findings to the legal team.
Legal Support:
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence with partner organizations and others..
- Manage internal legal inquiries and provide initial responses to routine legal matters.
Technology Proficiency:
- Use Slack for efficient team communication and collaboration.
- Manage documentation and workflows using Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.
- Track and manage legal projects and tasks through Jira.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain and organize legal files and records.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and deadlines.
- Provide general administrative support to the Legal team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a FinTech or financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of contract law and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with Lexion, HubSpot, Slack, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and Jira. (preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is 70-80k. The range displayed reflects an average range for the position across all the US. The rate offered to an applicant could be higher or lower based on each applicant's specific skill set, depth of experience, relevant education or training, etc. The rate range listed excludes commission/bonus/equity or benefits.
