As a Paralegal specializing in Personal Injury, you will provide crucial support to attorneys in law firms by collecting, organizing, and preparing various documents and files for court cases and agencies involved in personal injury claims. You will regularly collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other legal professionals to gather pertinent details about ongoing cases. Additionally, you will be responsible for drafting a variety of legal documents, including briefs, affidavits, appeals, motions, and pleadings.

Your role will also involve conducting thorough legal research to verify information for different cases by examining public records and utilizing resources provided by clients. Managing the delivery of important legal documents and forms will also be part of your responsibilities.

NOTE: Candidates must be proficient in both English and Spanish, spoken and written. Only resumes in English will be considered. This position is open to applicants from all Latin American countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in drafting, preparing, and reviewing legal documents related to personal injury cases.
  • Conducting comprehensive legal research to support case strategies, including familiarity with police records, medical files, and the discovery process common in personal injury cases.
  • Managing communication with clients and addressing their inquiries related to personal injury claims.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of case-related information.
  • Ensuring timely submission of legal paperwork and filings.
  • Providing administrative support to attorneys as needed.
  • Offering regular updates on case progress to attorneys and clients.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent understanding of legal procedures and terminology related to personal injury law.
  • Bachelor's degree in law or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a paralegal role within a US law firm, preferably in personal injury law.
  • Analytical mindset and proficient research skills.
  • Familiarity with police records, medical files, and the discovery process common in personal injury cases.
  • Experience with humanitarian and family-based immigration procedures and forms.
  • Familiarity with legal database software.
  • Experience in preparing legal reports.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • End-to-end case management experience in personal injury law.
