Granicus is looking for a knowledgeable Payroll & Benefits Administrator to manage the company’s international payroll functions for our LAC region as directed. They will also manage regional benefits for our LAC workforce. Granicus is the largest cloud solutions provider for government and provides technology that empowers government organizations to create better lives for the people they serve.

This individual will be responsible for handling payroll preparation, processing, and reporting duties for select regions using our domestic and global payroll solutions. They will join our payroll and benefits teams as part of our HR Operations department. The ideal candidate is an organized, experienced professional who understands the unique challenges involved in processing payroll for multiple countries. The Payroll & Benefits Administrator must be detail-oriented and diligent, committed to accuracy in all transactions and communications. 

What You'll Do:

  • Provides exemplary customer service through effective and proactive interaction and appropriate escalation of issues to HR leadership.
  • Manages workflows to ensure all payroll and payroll-adjacent transactions are processed accurately and timely for domestic and international employees.
  • Addresses issues and questions regarding payroll matters from employees and leadership.
  • Takes ownership of the payroll processing and communication workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and consistency and remove redundancies within payroll practices.
  • Maintains processes and audit trails for all payroll transactions.
  • Possesses foundational knowledge of the benefits package and provides support during benefits projects and to ensure proper configuration of benefit deductions and taxation.
  • Reconciles final payroll reports to validate payroll taxes, retirement contributions, benefit deductions, etc. 
  • Examines payroll tax reconciliation and tax filing reports with a keen eye on compliance with local, provincial, and national/federal regulations; prepares employer tax forms as applicable.
  • Partners with HR Management to fulfill ongoing and ad hoc compliance requests related to employee compensation, taxation, and/or reporting.
  • Develops personnel, financial, and operational reporting as needed, such as monthly executive reports.
  • Further supports the broader payroll function in various ways such as processing other regional payrolls as needed in a team member's absence, supporting project management and payroll transition efforts during M&A, responding to employment and income verification requests, etc.

Security Requirements:

  • Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.

Who You Are:

  • 3-5 years of payroll administration experience for multiple countries.
  • Payroll certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience with UKG (formerly UltiPro) is preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational dexterity with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with all audiences.
  • Solid comprehension of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
  • Motivated understanding of labor and compensation legislation and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required.
