Job Description

You’ll be joining an entrepreneurial environment where the only thing that is constant is change! As a People Operations Manager at Reejig, you will be instrumental in creating an inclusive, high-performing culture that values the well-being and professional growth of our employees. You will be the first People hire in a newly reformed Operations team, and so you will have the opportunity to help our leaders to design and shape our People Strategy from the ground up. We are looking for an enthusiastic, high-energy, and hands-on builder who isn't afraid to jump in and get sh*t done. Your proactive approach, combined with a strong work ethic, will be invaluable as you tackle the diverse challenges that come with working in a fast-paced, global, and remote startup.

This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in Australia or the US. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a comprehensive employee engagement strategy to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture, with a focus on building connection and culture remotely.
  • Plan and execute events, both in person and remote, to strengthen company culture, foster team bonding, and promote employee engagement. 
  • Manage the performance review and reward process, driving a feedback culture through open and transparent dialogue.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and employee coaching.
  • Administering employee benefits and compensation programs, taking into account regional differences in benefits structures and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support our diverse, remote workforce in both the US and Australia.
  • Support talent acquisition efforts where required, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent for our team.
  • Managing and optimizing HR technology and tools to streamline processes and improve the employee experience.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a People Operations or HR role, preferably in a tech startup environment.
  • Proven experience driving employee engagement in a global, remote work environment will be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, talent engagement, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of Australian and US employment laws, regulations, and benefits structures.

  • Detail-oriented and organized: Capable of managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects while ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
  • Tech-savvy: Proficient in using HR technology and tools to streamline processes and improve the employee experience.
