Common App is currently searching for a People Operations Coordinator. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The People Operations Coordinator reports to and works in conjunction with the Director People Operations & Compliance to support People Operations initiatives and ensure a supportive, transparent, and consistent employee experience for the Common App employees. This individual will support payroll, benefits administration, new hire orientations, data integrity, recruiting, performance management, employee training, and People Operations compliance activities. Additionally, they will work in tandem with the VP People Operations and other People Operations team members to coordinate other aspects of the employee life-cycle and organizational development, employee engagement, and being a champion of the culture we are building.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

This role requires:

  • Candidates must live in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  •  2-4 years of experience within the HR field with at least 1-2 years of benefits experience.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills with the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail in all regards, and the ability to proofread and edit for grammar, spelling, and punctuation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Positive, collaborative, and results-oriented demeanor with the ability to quickly adapt and flex according to business and customer needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service focus, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a diverse, team-oriented environment, as well as appropriately seeking guidance and direction as necessary.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to use discretion regarding sensitive/confidential matters.
  • Ability to recognize the root cause of issues and to proactively develop solutions and streamline People Operations processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, Google and Adobe applications, applicant tracking systems, HRIS & payroll platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • SHRM-CP or PHR Certification.
  • Experience creating and editing HR documentation and presentations; policy and SOP writing.
  • Experience using Paycom.
  • Visa processing, and managing the implementation process for new software.
  • A passion for higher education is a plus. 

PAY RANGE

$59,000 - $62,000
