Job Description

The People Operations Specialist will be responsible for the administration and coordination of a broad range of People & Culture activities. The purpose of this role is to deliver repeatable, scalable and streamlined P&C processes ensuring global consistency at a high standard of executional excellence. You will add value to the business by working closely with People Operations team and People & Culture Business Partners to deliver great service through a variety of people tools and programs aligned to the operational goals of the business.

A typical day for you may look like this...

  • Carry out employee lifecycle administration and coordination from onboarding and status changes to offboarding, including maintaining data integrity of our People data between systems, and handoff of information to Payroll when applicable
  • Create and maintain employee files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations; identify gaps and inefficiencies, provide improvement recommendations, and implement required changes
  • Support employees to resolve questions/challenges, providing an excellent experience to Nearmappers
  • Manage matters that arise in relation to physical health and safety (including support for remote work); WHS case management, employee relations, compliance and complaints
  • Compile regular reports and dashboards utilizing various data points
  • Immigration and visa maintenance and upkeep
  • Coach and provide support to managers on the rollout of any P&C-related systems when required
  • Administer and report on learning activity such as compliance training, LinkedIn Learning, benefits enrollment and other planned activity
  • Monitor and arrange for the regular update of P&C policies and knowledge hubs
  • Provide administrative support in executing the P&C calendar of events and recurring people initiatives (pulse surveys, performance review, open enrolment etc)
  • Maintain data integrity in all systems and central document control, completing frequent audits to ensure information accuracy

Qualifications

What we are looking for

For this particular role we are seeking people with the following experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in P&C Operations
  • Degree qualified, BA in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Experience within a growing technology company
  • Experience managing people operations in a multi-state organization
  • Excellent analytical, communication and collaboration skills
  • Organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort and ability to work in a global environment
  • A commercial mindset and ability to understand the business environment
  • Tech-savvy and able to quickly pick up new processes and software (prior experience with BambooHR, ADP, CultureAmp and SmartRecruiters a plus)
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the company in a composed, calm and professional manner, and being able to remain so in high pressure situations
  • Familiarity with human capital legislation such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA and relevant state legislation
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, with a positive attitude, even when under pressure
  • High level of attention to detail and quality of work product

In accordance with multi-state Pay Transparency Laws, the expected base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $110,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation, commission or benefits.
