Title: People Operations Specialist 

Location: 100% Work from home in Luzon, Philippines 

Shift: Flexible late shift - Core working hours from 8:30 PM - 1:30 AM PHT (remaining hours can be completed before or after that) 

About The Role

TaxValet is looking for a People Operations Specialist that will oversee and enhance the employee experience. You will assist in creating a positive and engaging work environment that cultivates psychological safety, development, performance, retention and FUN! You will work closely with managers to assist in the hiring process, as well as providing human resources support directly to team members. You will also drive our onboarding process for new team members and ensure they are set up for success. 

Your Qualifications 

Professional

  • 2 years of Human Resources experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with Google Suite and Slack is preferred
  • You’re very comfortable learning new technologies. (And, you’ll get bonus points if you’ve used Lattice or Greenhouse!) 

Interpersonal 

  • You’re a problem solver at heart. You are able to see the bigger picture beyond the problem at hand, and can envision how different solutions would impact the entire organization. 
  • You love being on a team. You’re more interested in your teammates winning and succeeding than you are having your name in lights. 
  • Confidentiality is extremely important to you. You’re the trusted friend that people know their secrets are safe with. 
  • You’re approachable. You bring a calming presence and a listening ear to difficult conversations. 
  • You have excellent written and verbal English communication. 

Please note that the final step before being hired is for you to arrange reference calls with three of your former managers. 

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the hiring process, including posting job openings, screening resumes and assessments, coordinating interviews, and assisting hiring managers. 
  • Deliver an exceptional employee onboarding and orientation process to ensure a thorough and welcoming onboarding experience. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, time off sheets, and performance evaluations.
  • Lead and execute effective initiatives aimed to enhance employee morale and engagement. 
  • Facilitate employee training and development initiatives to enhance skills and performance.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Other special projects as assigned by the People and Culture Operations Manager 

Specific Measures of Success

No surprises here! After a year on the job, you’ll be measured by these specific outcomes:

  • Employee Engagement: Maintain an eNPS score of >80 and regularly provide insights/strategies to improve our eNPS to the leadership team.
  • Hiring Spots Filled: On a quarterly basis, 85% of open roles have been filled with a qualified candidate in alignment with our hiring forecast.
  • Completion of online education and training: You will complete 3 hours per quarter of educational training.
  • Completion rate of quarterly rocks: All rocks have at least an 80% completion rate for the year.
