PGG: Minecraft Writer
Pro Game Guides is looking for experienced and an enthusiastic Minecraft video game guide writer. This is a fully remote position, and you can be located anywhere in the world. This will be a contracted position.
The Pro Game Guides staff is a diverse international team, and we have a simple goal in mind: to help people play the games they love better with in-depth and succinct guides while fostering a kind and supportive gaming community. We're looking for a freelance guides writer who will be responsible for upkeeping and updating a number of Minecraft "Best Seeds" articles, various "Best X" Minecraft listicles, and other Minecraft-related content as needed, along with covering new Minecraft conent updates upon release with SEO guides. Having experience with other games we cover besides Minecraft is a plus, but Minecraft is the primary focus for this role, and being a knowledgable, regular player is a must.
What we’re looking for in an ideal candidate:
- 1+ years of experience in editorial writing—specifically focused on video games and game guides (preferably about Minecraft)
- Ability to try new games and game updates when they're released and write about them same-day
- Passion for Minecraft
- Experience writing listicles
- Adaptability, flexibility, and a can-do attitude
Pay rate: tiers ranging from $11 to $60 per article, depending on length, article type, and scope. Salary range may differ for international candidates, based on location.
