About the team

We’re a distributed-cross-functional engineering department who design, build and operate solutions for Adaptavist and its customers. The platform team build platforms and infrastructure, which our products and services are built upon. We are currently building the platform using Kubernetes. We are a big and diverse team of 25 people across global. All teams are exposed to infrastructure, platform, data and software engineering to deliver services.

About the role

Are you passionate in the world of Kubernetes to build a cloud native platform to support a rapidly growing business? Are you driven to work with an industry leader, and an expanding customer base from SMBs to Fortune 500 in scale? If yes, then this role might be the best opportunity in your career. This role is pivotal to the growth of the organization, and they will work closely with our Product, Platform and Data teams. The rest of the team is based in the UK and Canada so they will work on a remote basis.

You will be using numerous orchestration, configuration management and software development tools - picking the right tool for the job. We practice continuous delivery so you have to be comfortable shipping to production daily. The team values the autonomy that modern development teams thrive in, and give teams the space to build and grow in their own ways.

What you'll be doing

- Responsible for managing and maintaining the Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of containerised applications in a scalable and highly available manner.

- Work closely with development and operations teams to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters.

- Work closely with infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders to architect and deploy applications using cloud-native technologies and practices.

- Build on modern development practices, so comfort with continuous delivery and deployment, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK), and agile experience are a must. 

What we're looking for

- A good hands-on experience working with Kubernetes(Desirable EKS) in a production environment.

- Well-versed in containerization technologies like Docker.

- A very good understanding of Kubernetes architecture and components.

- Knowledge of networking concepts, including load balancing and DNS resolution in Kubernetes.

- Experience with container monitoring and logging solutions like Prometheus and Grafana.

- Hands-on experience with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

- Scripting and automation skills using tools like Bash or Terraform.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is desirable

- Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Helm or Kustomize is an added advantage
