Principal Architect
Job Summary
Cognizant is looking for Principal Architect with at least 20 years of experience in developing customized product for our clients. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.
An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Someone that values the “team” and leverages the opinions and expertise of their teammates to deliver quality.
Location: West Chester, PA ( Remote)

Responsibilities:
• Guide team development efforts towards successful delivery.
• Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practice habits.
• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based business applications.
• Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
• Package and support deployment of releases.
• Work with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to current technologies.
• Be a trusted advisor on the development and implementation of AWS cloud-based solutions.
• Create strategic roadmaps to guide the migration, creation, or redesign of applications and services in AWS.
• Facilitate strategic discussions with internal stakeholders to define or design solution architectures.
• Provide architectural roadmap.
• Provide architectural guidance to build the capabilities related to technical requirements.
• Ensure solutions comply with security and compliance standards.
• Mentor team members on AWS capabilities, updates etc.
• Should be someone who can experiment and provide recommendations to customer on the technology direction to take.
• Should be confident to positively challenge the customer to get the right design decisions.
• Be aware of and utilize Cognizant’s capabilities and CoEs and best practices in customer environment
• Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications.
• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
• Research and evaluate a variety of software products.
• Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
