Overview:
The Cloud Devops team at Liveperson is looking for an experienced DevOps engineer: a candidate that takes on challenges, continuously expands his area of expertise and naturally takes ownership of his work. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, an eagerness to follow good practices and a desire to apply his skills in the field of DevOps.

You will:
- Architectural Leadership: Provide expert guidance in designing and architecting cloud solutions that align with best practices and business objectives, leveraging Google Cloud services,
- Technical Strategy: Define and drive the technical strategy for complex projects, ensuring they align with GCP's capabilities and business goals,
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost optimization,
- Security and Compliance: Champion security best practices, enforce access controls, encryption, and compliance standards to protect sensitive data,
- Incident Response: Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues,
- Cost Optimization: Optimize cloud resource usage and costs, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to budget constraints,
- Continuous Improvement: Implement and advocate for continuous improvement in development processes, workflows, and tools,
- Collaboration and Communication: work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and product managers on different projects
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and facilitate team collaboration
You have:
- Cloud Computing Expertise: In-depth knowledge - 6+ years of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud DNS, Cloud Networking and more.
- Infrastructure as a Code: Proficiency in tools like Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure
- Networking: Mastery of GCP networking, including VPC, load balancing, firewalls, routing
- Container Orchestration: Experience in managing containerized applications using Kubernetes and other container platforms
- Serverless Computing: Familiarity with offering like CloudFunctions and CloudRun for building and deploying applications
- DevOps Practices: DevOps mindset, CI/CD pipelines
- Multi-Cloud and Hybrid Cloud: Understanding of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies
- Monitoring and Logging: Understanding of logging, monitoring and observability concepts and challenges which come with it
- Problem Solving: Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to address complex technical challenges
- Leadership and Mentorship: Strong leadership skills, ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, influence technical decisions and strategies
- Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, developers, architects, product managers.
