Responsibilities
- Build, set up, and maintain development tools, processes, secure infrastructure, and related documentation.
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats by building and maintaining security baselines.
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
- Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning of cloud platforms.
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Qualifications
- 8+ yrs production experience.
- Minimum BA/BS or equivalent in CS, MIS, Engineering, or closely related field.
- Experience with AWS Cloud platform and services.
- Extensive knowledge of Linux.
- Experience with setting up DevOps practices and deployment pipelines (CI-CD) for teams.
- Experience with securing cloud environments, monitoring, and intrusion detection.
- Understanding of computer network fundamentals.
- Knowledge of data protection practices.
- Knowledge of security certifications. Experience with setting up the environment in line with certified protocols is a plus.
- Understanding of programming concepts like iterative design, functional and object-oriented programming, software design patterns, integration patterns, and concepts of scalable architecture.
- Understanding of Bash/Node.js/Python
- Desire to apply agile principles in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication.
- Good time-management skills.
