Fandom UX design is growing! We are hiring a Product Design Operations Manager in support of our stellar Product Design Team. The position is fully remote and located in Poland. Join us as we build the most compelling fan experiences for TV, Movies, Games, Anime, and entertainment. 

As a Product Design Operations Manager, you will report to the Head of Product Design and will support the daily operations of a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, product design development organization. This includes being a strong user-centered advocate and design practitioner who excels in optimizing the performance, process, and practice of our product designers. You will have a big impact on a rapidly growing product experience while working with a diverse team of designers across the world to build the best platform for shared Fan experiences.  

You Will...

  • Resource Management: Help manage the allocation of design resources, including designers, freelancers, and external agencies, to ensure projects are adequately staffed and deadlines are met. This includes managing development and design ticketing, triage, hygiene, and efficiencies.
  • Workflow Optimization: Develop and implement processes and management systems to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the design team. Identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to improve overall productivity.
  • Project Coordination: Serve as a central point of contact for cross-functional teams, project managers, and stakeholders to coordinate design-related activities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Tools and Systems: Evaluate, implement, and maintain design tools, software, and systems to support the needs of the design team and improve collaboration, communication, and productivity.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and key decisions. Solicit feedback and input from stakeholders to inform project direction and ensure alignment with expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design operations. Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement to keep the design team ahead of the curve.

You Have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in design operations, project management, or a related role, preferably in a creative agency or design-driven organization.
  • Strong understanding of design processes, methodologies, and principles, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable project plans and deliverables.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects, teams, and budgets, with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, design tools (e.g., Figma, Zeplin, Adobe Creative Suite), and collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Asana, Jira).
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement in design operations.

  • Experience in UX/UI Design, Visual Design, HCI, User Research, or Gen AI/Data Science
