Product Designer
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking to hire a thoughtful, curious, empathetic and ambitious Product Designer to help shape the future of construction through software. As a member of our growing design team, you’ll help tackle some of our most challenging problems at Fieldwire by developing user interfaces and experiences across all of our web and mobile applications.
You’ll report to our Head of Design and work closely with product managers and engineers. This role is a great fit if you are a self-starter that can own projects end-to-end while communicating externally with customers and internally across departments.
Please include a link to a few interesting design projects you have worked on as part of your application.
What you’ll be doing
As our company grows, you’ll work on hard problems and set a new standard for Fieldwire’s web and mobile (Android & iOS) app experiences. You’ll work closely with the product and engineering teams to conceptualize, design and deliver amazing cross-platform apps and features.
From wireframing and designing to prototyping and testing, you’ll be in charge of everything when transforming broad concepts into simple, functional and beautiful user experiences.
The primary responsibilities for our next Product Designer will be to:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to identify visual and functional feature improvements
- Craft design specifications and design standards in the form of storyboards, prototypes, wireframes, and screen flows
- Produce pixel-perfect graphics and icons to be used throughout the product
- Work directly with cross-functional teams including product management, product marketing, engineering and customer success through delivery
- Continually evaluate our current app and recommend UI/UX improvements
We’re looking for you to have the following skills and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of experience in product (UX/UI) design
- Strong design skills with a passion for creative solutions to real-world design challenges
- Passion for learning and growing your design skills, as well as challenging norms
- Ability to manage detailed projects with tight timelines
- Advanced user of Figma for designing and prototyping, as well as an understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) or other preferred design tools
- A cross-functional mindset and experience collaborating across departments
- An energetic and willing attitude - you love jumping in to help wherever you can
And if you have the following, we REALLY want you to apply today!
- Experience building design systems and/or UI pattern toolkits
- Work examples that go beyond UX/UI, including brand design, sales/social collateral, work with color theory, typography and/or photography
- Fun side projects that showcase your creativity and initiative
