About Metomic
Over the last ten years, SaaS has changed the way we work — for the better. Slack instead of email. Miro instead of sticky notes. Airtable instead of Excel. SaaS is helping tech companies move so much faster, but it’s also introducing a new surface are of risk they’ve never seen before. The risk of leaking sensitive data. As a result, companies are faced with answering the difficult question of how to manage compounding security risks as they grow without introducing more red tape that slows their team down.
At Metomic, we help companies protect sensitive data in SaaS applications like Slack, Google Drive and Zendesk.
Our technology connects to SaaS applications, detects the most critical sensitive data risks, and put automated policies in place to ensure these risks don’t happen again in the future. This liberates tech companies to make full use of their favourite SaaS apps whilst Metomic takes care of all the security risks behind the scenes.
After launching our product in April 2021, we now count some of the world’s most innovative companies as customers, such as Zego and Octopus Energy. In 2023 we raised a $20m Series A round led by Evolution Equity and backed by other investors such Connect (investors in CityMapper, Typeform, Marvel), LocalGlobe (Improbable, Figma, Zego) and RFC (Hopin, Clubhouse, On Deck, etc), and Resonance.vc.
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Product Lead to spearhead our product team at Metomic. As a pivotal member of our organisation, the Product Lead will run a small but impactful product team, consisting of up to four individuals with a mix of product managers and designers. In addition to leading this team, the Product Lead will actively serve as a hands-on product manager, overseeing a section of our development team from a product management perspective.
What you'll be doing
Leadership and Team Management:
- Run and lead a small and exceptional product team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Play a dual role as a product manager within the team, driving the product vision and strategy.
Product Strategy and Decision-Making:
- Collaborate with Rich, our Co-Founder/ CEO on determining product features and enhancements.
- Utilise your well-rounded background to make informed decisions about the product roadmap and development.
Strategic Planning:
- Drive the formulation of a comprehensive product plan, outlining what should be built to align with our business goals.
- Present actionable strategies for product development, ensuring alignment with our overall vision.
Execution and Implementation:
- Translate strategic plans into actionable tasks, specifying requirements and handing over to engineers for development.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure a clear understanding of the specifications, preventing the development of features that don't align with the intended vision.
Ideation for Revenue Growth:
- Proactively contribute to the generation of innovative and revenue-driving ideas.
- Demonstrate a keen ability to think strategically about the product's impact on Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and develop plans to achieve growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and managing a product team, with a background in product management and possibly having founded or led a start-up.
- Strong decision-making skills with a track record of successful product launches.
- Demonstrated capacity for ideation and driving initiatives for revenue growth.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
