We are looking for an experienced and proven product manager to join our strong and growing business to lead, oversee and scale our B2B2C line of business. This line of business is currently primarily focused on creating access to estate planning for Financial Advisors and their clients, but has the potential to extend well beyond that. As Product Manager, Advisors, you'll be scaling an existing product with more than 10k unique users, by understanding the needs of both financial advisors and our direct to consumer members, delivering solutions that create value and deliver results. This is a high impact, proven area of the business that is ready for growth, scale and dedicated product ownership.

About the role

Product Managers at Trust & Will drive product vision and are responsible for the success of the product through all phases of the development process. Starting with an initial concept through research, development, production, deployment, and measuring success, PMs ensure that we are solving our members’ most important problems through the capabilities that we develop and release. To be successful in this role you will be required to understand the Financial Advisor space and the Trust & Will product in great detail, as well as have a deep understanding and empathy for our members’ and advisors needs.

At its core, Trust & Will helps people create an estate plan or settle the estate of a loved one through the probate process. We strive to ensure that our members have the tools and knowledge they need to make confident decisions in their plan. Financial Advisors are a key decision driver in the estate planning conversation and therefore a critical part of the process. As a product manager on our Advisor team, you will help define the vision, and strategy and drive execution for one of the fastest growing areas of our product.

About you

You have 5+ years of experience as a product leader as a part of scaling teams and businesses from disruptors to innovative industry leaders with best-in-class consumer products. You care deeply and challenge directly fostering a culture of humble, outcome-oriented, accountable, and talented leaders who deliver high quality, scalable, consumer facing products. You have experience thriving in a remote-first organization and being a part of world-class teams.

Impact

  • Harness insights from customers, stakeholders, and data to prioritize and build a product that will have the most impact on the business. 
  • Talk directly with members and financial advisors to learn more about how they interact with Trust & Will from first intercept, conversion, and their experience of sharing their experience with others. Crystalize learnings into problems and opportunities.
  • Work with marketing and design counterparts to envision, build, and test possible solutions with actual members. We value experimentation and exploration, staying as lean as possible during early cycles as a means to learn as quickly as possible.
  • Work with engineering counterparts to estimate implementation costs, discuss alternative approaches, and make sure everyone is aware of the opportunity and cost of introducing something new to the member base.
  • Be a leader in advocating for the member above all else, constantly iterating and pushing the envelope to create amazing work.
  • Monitor, optimize, and create tests that validate opportunities to improve our initial conversion rates in collaboration with marketing and partnership strategies utilizing testing tools like A/B Tasty and our BI tools (GA4, FullStory, and Thoughtspot).
  • Write product briefs to communicate why we’re choosing to solve this particular problem, and tie it back to the emotional discovery uncovered while shaping the product. You should be able to galvanize the team and get them excited.

Experience

  • 5+ years in Product Management
  • Experience shipping high-quality product on time and free of surprises.
  • Write product briefs to communicate why we’re choosing to solve this particular problem, and tie it back to the emotional discovery uncovered while shaping the product. You should be able to galvanize the team and get them excited.
  • Strong understanding of how software is built and how to iteratively deliver benefit to members.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Data and analytics skills and an ability to set up reporting and find signal in the noise
  • A strong cross functional partner for marketing, sales, and engineering teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail; ability to identify potential risks and edge cases.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives.

Our salary range for this position is $115,000.00 -$165,000.00 in addition to compensation we also include an employee equity package as a component of our offer along with other benefits and perks outlined below.
