The Role:

Join our team as a Product Manager and play a pivotal role in developing and delivering our product roadmap for integrated fare collection solutions. This role focuses on the API integration suite, essential for our mission to provide an open platform that enables transit agencies worldwide to operate world-class, affordable fare collection systems.

This role impacts the core of our platform, enabling powerful and flexible API integrations that allow transit agencies across the world to enhance their fare collection capabilities. We are keen to find someone who understands the complexities and opportunities of API-driven ecosystems and is passionate about creating solutions that balance simplicity, flexibility, and scalability. 

In addition to your technical acumen and customer empathy, you will be detail-oriented and outcome-focused, with an aptitude for big-picture thinking needed to package the APIs into product offerings and meet the diverse needs of developers, end-users, and stakeholders. You will have experience with techniques and approaches to lead discovery and work closely with engineering teams, UX designers, stakeholders from across the business, and other Product Managers to build an integrated, best-in-class set of APIs to underpin our Open Platform.

Location: This role is available in a hybrid model for London, UK-based candidates and in a remote model for candidates based in the UK, North America—East Coast, and Colombia. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the product development of APIs across the fare policy and ticket validation domains for multiple large transit agencies to expand our open platform. 
  • Work closely with transport agencies, partners, and internal stakeholders to gain insights into platform utilisation and API usage. Identify any gaps and collaborate to develop a comprehensive roadmap for enhancements and new APIs.
  • Engage closely with software engineers and identify use cases, ensuring APIs meet market needs and are not custom for specific stakeholders. 
  • Lead the entire product lifecycle from feature shaping to launch for your product area. 
  • Prioritise features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on customer feedback and business impact
  • Stay current with evolving customer needs, industry trends, and competitor directions to maintain our product trajectory.
  • Bring creativity and passion to innovate and make an impact in a high-growth business.  

About You

  • Have a strong passion for solving problems and creating exceptional products.
  • Strong technical background either as a Software Engineer or Product Manager
  • Experience in a Product Management role or related field.
  • Have worked in a fast-paced software environment and thrive under such conditions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to take products through the entire product lifecycle.
  • Good understanding of software, enabling effective discussions with software engineers about technical aspects. 
  • Highly collaborative and understand the importance of teamwork for success.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of conveying ideas clearly and effectively.
