Overview:

Certara accelerates medicines using proprietary biosimulation software, technology and services to transform traditional drug discovery and development. Its clients include more than 2,000 biopharmaceutical companies, academic institutions and regulatory agencies across 62 countries.

In early 2023 Certara acquired Vyasa, a technology company leveraging deep learning AI technology to effectively manage and analyze the wealth of raw data held by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, enabling them to revolutionize how they discover insights, make decisions and ultimately improve patient’s lives.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have experience in technology organizations identifying product management and roadmap strategies for an existing portfolio of scientific software solutions. Candidate will also be able to identify strategic roadmaps for novel solutions by working with clients and end-users to understand feature requirements and translate those learnings into technical development roadmaps. Candidate will need to understand life sciences concepts, technology capabilities and key client use cases. It is not expected that the successful candidate needs to be a software developer themselves, instead they will work with software developers. They are also expected to travel, present at conferences and provide demo overviews of software solutions to prospective clients.

Responsibilities for the Product Manager will include:

  • Participate in RFPs from a software viability and solution stack perspective
  • Proficiently understand and speak to emerging technologies, particularly in deep learning
  • Collaborate with solutions architecture/consulting team on product roadmap
  • Manage client feature requests and balance with existing product development roadmap(s)
  • Manage multiple roadmaps across product portfolio
  • Consult with sales and marketing on new product rollout across portfolio
  • Report on product roadmap strategy to technology and portfolio leadership
  • Participate in client sales presentations, including development of custom demos for specific client use cases
  • Assist in ad hoc sales team enablement from a product capability/software demo perspective

Qualifications:

The ideal candidates will have the following skills or experience:

  • Effective communicator (verbal & written) across multiple disciplines (software development/engineering & sales/marketing)
  • Highly organized and ability to manage multiple projects in a portfolio
  • Ability to build visual software architectures to guide software development/engineering and present to sales/marketing
