About Dayout:

We are a fully remote team made up of 15 designers and developers from all over the world in the early stages of developing an innovative product. Our mission is to give people a platform where they can share their ideas with other people to use as their own. We are currently focused on building our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and are looking for a motivated and talented Product Manager to join our team.

This is an unpaid position with the potential for future employment as we grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the product vision and market strategy.
  • Roadmap Development: Consult and further develop a detailed product roadmap, ensuring it reflects the current priorities and business objectives.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders and a UX researcher to gather and define product requirements and user stories.
  • Backlog Management: Collaborate manag the product backlog, ensuring that the development team has clear and actionable tasks.
  • Jira Management: Utilize Jira to create, track, and manage user stories, tasks, and bugs, ensuring that the development process runs smoothly.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the development, design, and QA teams to ensure that the product is developed according to specifications and delivered on time. Product Launch: Plan and coordinate the launch of the MVP, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and prepared.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Some experience in product management, preferably within a startup environment.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies, particularly Jira.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, who is assertive enough to speak up to the team when things might be getting off track. This is honestly one of the most important qualities for a PM to have in a remote environment
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality products.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and handle changing priorities with ease.
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude and willingness to work as part of a team to achieve common goals.

Nice to Have:

  • Startup Experience: Previous experience working in a startup environment is a plus.
  • Agile/Scrum Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Technical Background: A technical background or understanding of software development processes.
