The Company

Mon Ami builds modern technology for the growing sector of aging and disability services.

We're a women-founded, mission-driven startup tackling the $100B+ senior services market to enable delivery of life-sustaining services for older adults. Our customers are departments on aging and other agencies across the country who are at the frontlines of care, but who are currently not tech-enabled and are wasting 60% of their time on administrative paperwork that can be digitized and automated. Mon Ami’s cloud-based solutions allow them to streamline workflow, increase capacity to serve more seniors, and track outcomes on senior well-being. Mon Ami has raised nearly $10M in capital and is backed by leading VCs in healthcare and SaaS, including Felicis Ventures, Maverick Ventures, and Ulu Ventures.

The Role

As a PM at Mon Ami, you will have a great deal of freedom to make decisions that matter.

PMs at Mon Ami love to build and are comfortable getting into the weeds. We understand engineering enough to propose suggestions and assess theirs, understand the data model enough to talk to the data team about what reports customers will want after a new feature launch, and understand the user well enough to lead QA and understand where users will get confused.

We are looking for

  1. Execution: Given a thorny, ambiguous problem, you bring the required clarity to the team through leading discussions, writing specs, and deep QA in order to build a great product on a tight timeline.
  2. Market intuition: You will rapidly develop an exceptional sense of judgment when it comes to our users, what they need, and where risks lie for our product.
  3. Startup agility & initiative: You’re part of a small, scrappy startup team in a 30 person company that punches above its weight. This means getting stuff done, figuring things out, marshaling resources to achieve your goals.

You...

  • Have two years of experience problem-solving with software engineers, ideally including a project that had some tough trade-offs you had to make decisions about.
  • Have exceptional empathy and listening skills, as judged by your peers and reports (whose references we will ask for).
  • Ideally have experience building case management, health care, or software that helps people be more productive.
  • Can work 6+ hours/day that overlap with California time.

People Love Working Here Because

  • What we make helps people. When we first launched a product that helped home-bound people get food in their homes, it was stunning to watch the usage dashboard. Every single number represented a hungry person getting fed. Now, our incredible customers use our software to help people stay in their homes, be cared for, and get needed help.
  • Culture. The culture at Mon Ami (French for "My Friend") is a huge component of day-to-day satisfaction huge component of day-to-day satisfaction. Some of your future coworkers have worked together a long time, even before Mon Ami, because we love working together. We take pride in the balance of informality and accountability, opportunities for individual growth and sustainability. Our standups usually start with chit-chat or joking. And nearly everyone has worked through a weekend at some point.
  • How quickly we move. We demo to the entire company every week. Some of our competitors would struggle to have an interesting demo every quarter.
  • Our dream is coming true. A startup is a group of people with a shared belief in an improbable future. Most of those futures don’t come to pass. Mon Ami has overcome significant obstacles, and seeing the dream become real is an incredible feeling we’d like to share with you.
