Posted Jul 2

At Vidyard, we make life easier for sellers, marketers and corporate communicators. Our video messaging tools, digital sales room platform, and other products are used by Microsoft, LinkedIn, and thousands of other companies. We're passionate about elevating our customers, our teammates, our communities, and ourselves.

About the Role

Vidyard is looking for a Product Manager to join our User Onboarding & Engagement team. Reporting to the Director of Product, you will be at the forefront of Vidyard's Product-Led Growth (PLG) transformation. Your main focus will be to develop and execute strategic experiments and investments that drive user engagement and delight throughout their journey. You will also play a role in improving Vidyard's experimentation practices by owning and optimizing the tools and processes involved. Join us to drive user engagement, delight, and shape Vidyard's future through this role!

This is a remote role open to candidates located in Canada.

About the Team

Our User Onboarding & Engagement team includes a product manager, a product designer, a software development manager, and a team of six skilled developers. We work closely alongside all product teams, growth, marketing, and customer success to deliver exceptional results. Our collective passion lies in creating engaging and delightful experiences throughout the user's journey. To achieve this, our team focuses on three core objectives: enhancing the user experience through experimentation and rapid iteration, making our product more user-friendly and intuitive, and improving our tools and system to do these things. We're passionate about delivering exceptional results and are always striving to improve!

What You’ll Work On

  • Own a roadmap for accelerating user onboarding and engagement in the Vidyard platform. With our web app, browser extensions, mobile apps and integration ecosystem, there’s plenty to be excited about.
  • Become an expert in product-led growth. Focus on user onboarding and engagement, in a self-service fashion.
  • Leverage market data, customer feedback, and experimentation to drive decisions on key problem areas.
  • Challenge decisions with qualitative and quantitative observations.
  • Define goals and set targets against core business metrics.

As the Product Manager of User Onboarding and Engagement, You Can Expect to:

  • Formulating business questions and observations to collect and analyze data to inform your decisions in order to connect project level outcomes to key metrics that drive user onboarding and engagement and that produce meaningful outcomes.
  • Fostering closer relationships with Vidyard's users and leverage feedback to help prioritize roadmap decisions. You'll balance feedback from users with the business needs and make trade off decisions where necessary.
  • Own business outcomes by assessing results and defining next steps. You will make decisions that take into account team and company level trade-offs. You will clearly articulate to your peers why your current work is important to the company's vision and goals and identify when you are hitting the point of diminishing returns and make the case to slow/stop investment where required.
  • Build buy-in and support for your projects from senior managers both within and outside the product organization while mentoring more junior team members on how to do the same. You will work with your manager to put together a concrete and actionable career development roadmap.
  • Move quickly from observing trends and patterns to crafting a hypothesis, formulating an experiment, executing it and collecting data to make a decision while visualizing “shipping functional software” as a learning tool and bringing a sense of urgency to the team.

What You’ll Bring to this Role and Your New Team:

  • 4+ years of experience as a product manager in a software company
  • Experience leading great technology products from discovery to delivery to iteration
  • Experience working with product designers and software developers
  • Experience balancing a portfolio of highly-validated, big bet initiatives alongside higher risk, experimental initiatives
  • Experience in a product led growth company with a freemium-to-paid-to-enterprise business model
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally across Marketing, Sales, BizOps, and customer experience teams
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • An eye for fresh, modern app design

Bonus points for:

  • Previous work on product-led growth initiatives
  • Previous work on B2B SaaS companies and video technology
  • Previous work on driving user activation and retention

Our Tech Stack

  • Agile project management tools (Jira)
  • Data analysis software (including, but limited to Looker, Heap)
  • Digital adoption software (including, but not limited to Appcues, Candu)
