About the Role

Our ideal Product Marketing Manager is a growth-minded, customer journey obsessed self-starter who has deep experience collaborating with product, marketing, sales and customer success teams to develop GTM strategy, perfect product positioning and drive customer acquisition, adoption and expansion.

As our first dedicated product marketing hire, this role will lead the charge in driving core product marketing functions — think product launches, value-based messaging, market and competitor research, ICP and persona development, sales enablement, etc. — and also work closely with product and engineering to identify, test and implement in-product growth levers.

This role sits at the intersection of product, product marketing and growth in a strong PLG-focused organization and is the perfect opportunity for a nimble and analytical rising growth leader.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own core product marketing functions including product launches, value-based messaging, market and competitor research, ICP and persona development, sales enablement, etc.
  • Lead the growth charge; strategize and execute on growth experiments and in-product loops that drive signups, usage, and retention
  • Measure the effectiveness of product marketing and growth efforts; connect impact to key business metrics
  • Analyze data to pinpoint high impact opportunities and manage prioritization of future experiments and initiatives
  • Build messaging and positioning for Mangomint products that clearly communicates our competitive advantage in the market
  • Intimately understand our market, customers and competitive landscape; you are the voice of the customer
  • Optimize the full customer journey to maximize user experience and adoption (especially the free trial process)
  • Work collaboratively with product, marketing, sales, customer success and other internal teams
  • Influence strategy for and manage growth-oriented product roadmap initiatives
  • Help build cross-functional product management and product marketing processes at scale

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on product marketing and/or growth marketing experience in B2B SaaS
  • Deep knowledge of product-led growth strategy and tactics; ability to look at all opportunities, experiments and initiatives through a PLG lens
  • Data obsessed with analytical mindset; organized in planning, executing and tracking performance
  • Strong testing mentality and ability to be analytical in everything you do
  • Extensive experience with product marketing functions like product launches, enablement, market research, ICP development, etc.
  • Exceptional ability to write product messaging that communicates value and connects to the market’s needs
  • Deep customer empathy and ability to impact experience across full customer journey
  • Proficiency with marketing and analytics tools (Segment, Mixpanel, Intercom, marketing automation, in-app messaging, CRM, etc.)
  • Strong project management skills, including ability prioritize high impact activities and move complex project forward efficiently and effectively
  • Extensive knowledge of SaaS product management processes; has the technical chops to collaborate with engineers
  • Curious, continuous learner who thrives in startup environment
