About the Role:

Teachable is seeking a passionate product marketer to lead a broad set of efforts for its e-commerce solutions for creators. You will be part of an increasingly important and strategic aspect of our business consisting of the e-commerce portion of our platform, including checkout, payouts, billing, subscriptions, and integrations with 3rd party payments providers such as Stripe and Paypal.

The person in this role will drive the end-to-end lifecycle of products from understanding customer needs, partnering with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to support product planning and build phase as well as go-to-market planning and execution to launch products globally. You will work tightly with the product, marketing and customer success teams to establish our market position as the obvious choice for our target customers.

Key skills for this role are the ability to thrive and drive results in ambiguous and fast-paced environment, use strong analytical and customer insights to prioritize and push for product improvements, and have strong sense of ownership to proactively root cause product issues and drive improvements.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the evangelist of the creator’s e-commerce wants, needs and desires. Develop expertise through qualitative customer feedback, quantitative analysis, and proactive industry research. 
  • Be the expert on current and upcoming e-commerce-related solutions for creators. Partner with product and Growth teams to identify, root cause, and drive progress in top product gap areas to improve product fit and creator e-commerce performance on Teachable. 
  • Identify top product features and best practice recommendations that would improve creator's e-commerce performance, and partner with PMMs, PMs and marketing teams to drive adoption of those recommendations. 
  • Build holistic g2m strategy and positioning for creators across current and upcoming product solutions. Partner with product and marketing teams to turn strategy into experiments and outcomes. 
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across the entire organization and be a thought leader in the creator economy space.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of product marketing experience
  • An accomplished writer, verbal communicator and presenter 
  • Prior experience with e-commerce features or entrepreneurship is a huge plus 
  • Proven ability to lead the team, define the strategy and own pieces of the execution
  • Ability to execute on vision and deliver results (getting things done attitude)
  • Experience with product strategy, design and development principles, and processes
  • Excellent skills in building cross-functional rapport 
  • Passionate about the creator economy
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, often fast-changing startup environment

Additional Details:

At Teachable, we are committed to providing fair and competitive pay (using market data to inform our pay bands), rewarding high performance, and ensuring all employees have the opportunity and ability to impact Teachable’s overall company value. Base salaries will be reviewed at regular intervals throughout the year, typically following performance review cycles currently conducted bi-annually or in conjunction with a promotion.

  • This role is open to remote candidates in the U.S.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. 
  • For this role, the base salary range is $130,000 to 160,000. Total compensation also includes a competitive benefits package and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). A salary offer will be determined by a number of factors including experience, skill level, education, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay and compensation programs regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay.
